RSS is a standardized format used to deliver notifications of frequently updated content on the web. Users can subscribe to RSS Feeds generated by websites to be notified of updates.

Subscribing to RSS Feeds allow users to be informed on the latest content at their convenience without the need to continually check a website for new updates. Moreover, through the use of an RSS Reader it lets users customize how they want to receive content delivered to them.

Many of today's websites syndicate content such as news stories, blog postings, or in this case promotions as an RSS Feed. This feed is a document that is often accessible through a specific link on the website. Using an RSS Reader (often also called an RSS Aggregator or Feed Reader), users that are interested in receiving notifications can access the RSS Feed and subscribe to it. Once subscribed, the RSS Reader will automatically check for updates to the feed and return results to you.

You will need an RSS Reader and the address (URL) of the RSS Feed. There are many RSS Readers that are freely available online to download for all major operating systems. Additionally, there are online RSS readers which you can use within your browser. Subscribing to RSS Feeds often consist of simply copying the address (URL) of the RSS Feed into the appropriate field in the Reader and clicking a Subscribe button.
